the fashion 'habitat'

i've started to think that my 'studio' (or 'bedroom') is a pretty good representation of my state of mind. i am an impressive maker of mess, just think what could be achieved if the same energy were applied to design! watchoutworld!

THE REVIEW

Today was the dreaded review day. The day we all hoped would disappear. But lo and behold, it arrived as rapidly and stress filled as all the other crits that have come before. I should definately have realised by now that they are never as bad as I imagine them to be! silly worrying and life shortening stressing are so pointless... I say this now. But anyhow, it went very well! We scrapped a cardigan, added another dress and pretty much concluded that i've been on a badly formed sleeve bender over the last couple of days. This sounds bad, right? I've come to realise that criticism that fashion students receive would rip the heart out of somebody not quite so seasoned to regular 'advice'. But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Or so we say.

Hopefully shall post some of a personal project i've been working on in a few days time. Exciting.

new year, same old project.

Having been given a 'generous' two weeks vacation from university, i've been working away trying to get 3 toiles ready for a review upon return. Stressed would be an understatement! My first post on this blog were my lineup proposals for this particular project... guess which I went with? Anyway, i've been sprawled on the kitchen floor of my parents house for about 5 solid days cutting patterns. Joy of joys! I shall post some of the results after the review on friday... wish me luck!
